Where Technology Meets Passion

UTA has a goal to become one of America's premier research institution.   With over $63 million committed over the past six years to applied research in specialized arenas, UTA is increasing expertise in bioengineering, medical diagnostics, micro-manufacturing, defense and Homeland Security technologies.   Through attracting top researchers and students to work in these fields, UTA will become known for their advancements in medicine, technology, communications, psychology, to name a few.  

The University of Texas at Arlington - Arlington Technology Incubator (ATI), is a 8,000 square foot facility custom designed to provide infrastructure and services to start-up companies.  The building, financed by a $2 million gift/grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce, now hosts client companies primarily based upon UTA technologies.   Support for companies is available from the Technology Transfer Offices, Small Business Association and an extensive body of volunteers including business people, educators, engineers and scientists.  http://ati.uta.edu/

The Center for Innovation, is a public private partnership of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and the University of Texas at Arlington, established to serve as a catalyst for technology led economic development. Supporting a strategic approach to the formation of collaborative partnerships, it facilitates and enables the integration of industry, academic, and government research with venture capital and talent.  The Center, established in 2002, is comprised of 13 collaborative partnerships and agencies, collectively focused on three strategic initiatives; (1) creating world class deal flow; (2) catalyzing the formation of venture capital; and (3) training, recruiting, and retaining the talent with expertise to support innovation.  http://thecenterforinnovation.org/
