Innovation:  The Building Block behind Discovery Park

In alignment with UNT’s mission to grow future leaders of tomorrow, Discovery Park is building a hub for technology transfer and commercialization.   Start-up ventures have the opportunity to partner with UNT to benefit from the talents of faculty, students and other resident start-up companies.    Through the commercialization of research, UNT is spinning out innovative ideas that will result in the launch of scalable business for the region.   With the ability to create strong ties to the corporate community, government agencies and talent pools (UNT graduates), Discovery Park is collaborating with faculty, internal colleges and research centers to advance UNT’s commitment to invest in public-private partnerships that benefit the community, students and State of Texas.      http://discoverypark.unt.edu

It represents UNT in implementing UNT Intellectual Property Policy with governmental entities, industry, and the public, and serves the public interest by insuring that marketable forms of intellectual property are developed and made available to the public.  http://discoverypark.unt.edu/about/technology_transfer
