University of North Texas Health Science Center
The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNT HSC) is a 33-acre graduate university located in Fort Worth’s Cultural District with over 1,500 students and 400 plus faculty committed to excellence in education, research and service. The campus includes the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the School of Public Health and the School of Health Professions, which includes the departments of Physician Assistant Studies and Physical Therapy. The Health Science Center is also home to UNT Health, a Tarrant County-wide multispecialty group practice.
Not just a school and medical center to train tomorrow's physicians, UNT HSC is providing a healthier future for a changing world with new discoveries through research. Internationally known faculty researchers are exploring new approaches to the treatment of disease, including Aging and Alzheimer's Disease, Primary Care and Prevention and Investigative Genetics. There is a commitment to improve the quality of life though becoming a leader in innovation through applied research. The UNTHSC Research Office operates to assist all components of the Health Science Center in identifying research opportunities, securing support, overseeing research and insuring research, funding policies and compliance. This Center’s seven areas including Clinical Trials, Compliance, Laboratory Animal Medicine, Grants and Contracts, Protection of Human Subjects, Technology Transfer and Commercialization and Strategic Research Initiatives support and serve all UNTHSC faculty, staff and students.
