TECH Fort Worth Announces Local Technology Awards               May 18, 2011

Emerging technology that turns dirty wastewater into reusable fresh water, a visual recognition product that filters inappropriate text messages and a home-based device to monitor disease progression for people afflicted with degenerative eye diseases were all winners at the third annual TECH Fort Worth IMPACT awards announced May 18.

The awards – designed to increase awareness about entrepreneurial activity in North Texas – were presented at a luncheon on the campus of Texas Christian University. The awards are granted to early-stage businesses commercializing innovative products or services that will have a significant impact on the environment, health care and on the community through improved education and increased safety and security.  Read more…
