Across the North Texas Region there are multiple business accelerators, incubators and entrepreneurial counseling services that provide support and leadership for start-up companies. Assistance for early stage companies is imperative to the development and sustainability of new ventures if they are to successful grow competitive companies.
Community Colleges: Continued Education and Training
The North Texas region is home to 63 Institutions of Higher Education - universities and colleges. Colleges offer courses in emerging industry clusters and
in demand workforce skills. Small Business Assistance Centers are ready to aid entrepreneurs in securing needed talent, Skills Development Grants and training seminars.
Bill J. Priest Institute - El Centro College
The Bill J. Priest Institute is committed to workforce training, grant application support, small business development and career service development. Entrepreneurs and small business owners are invited to visit with the Institute for advice, counseling and economic development solutions.
BioCenter at Southwestern Medical District
The BioCenter, located in the Southwestern Medical District, offers biomedical companies incubator services - high quality office space, research facilities including labs, and connections to academic professionals. The Center is unique as it offers entrepreneurs resources and scientists in clinical medicine and academic research.
Biotech Manufacturing Center of Texas (BMC)
Located in Athens, BMC is a non-profit biotech incubator providing a full service manufacturing environment for qualified medical device development. The BMC is the only medical business incubator in the U.S., offering manufacturing of emerging medical device product development.
Center For Innovation - Arlington, TX
The Center For Innovation is a collaborative partnership between the University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington Chamber of Commerce and industry partners to identify and foster the commercialization of technology based research. The Center houses start-up companies and provides services such as Small Business Development counseling.

North Texas Enterprise Center for Medical Technology (NTEC)
Located in Frisco, NTEC was created in partnership with the City of Frisco and private partners to assist entrepreneurs in growing emerging life science, medical technology based companies. NTEC provides business acceleration programs, entrepreneurial network resources, labs and office space to entrepreneurs as they advance through the first few years of their business.
The Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship - University of Texas at Dallas
Established in 2005, the Institute was created to facilitate the power of ideas and the commercialization of technology into new ventures through academia and industry outreach. Monthly programs host guest speakers from industry, the capital investment community and academia to engage students and entrepreneurs in taking ideas from research to commercialization.
The North Texas Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization:
The North Texas RCIC is a vetting and marketing agent for the Emerging Technology Fund (ETF). Entrepreneurs seeking investment for technology based start-up companies receive coaching and mentoring and resources from the North Texas RCIC. Our extensive network of resources in academia, government and industry, aid start-up companies during the critical first years of their existence.
TECH Fort Worth
A non-profit business incubator and business accelerator program, TECH Fort Worth assists entrepreneurs to commercialize technologies that will impact the environment, advance the healthcare industry and empower the community. Businesses are housed inside TECH Fort Worth while they learn how to advance their business and leverage the resource network. TECH Fort Worth is a public and private partnership of the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, the City of Fort Worth and corporate partners.
TECH Fort Worth Acceleration Lab - Located at the Center for BioHealth on the UNT Health Science Center campus, the lab provides office space, business development assistance, access to academic research to companies enrolled in the Acceleration Program at TECH Fort Worth.
Tech Wildcatters
Founded in 2009, Tech WildCatters is a micro-seed and start-up accelerator for technology start-ups developing ideas and products in the software, web space. Companies apply to be accepted into a 12-week "bootcamp" program where they receive $25,000 in seed funding, mentoring from industry leaders and the opportunity to secure funding from the investment community through "Pitch Day" at the end of the program. Tech Wildcatters is housed in the "Tech Church" in Dallas offering space and community rooms to entrepreneurs.
University of North Texas Discovery Park
UNT Discovery Park provides emerging technology start-up companies and organizations with space, business development services, and academic resources. The Park focuses on aiding companies in commercializing their technology as an economic benefit to the community and advancing applied research into competitive global companies.
