Tech Success is a celebration of innovation in technology; the foundation behind the establishment of start-up companies funded by the State of Texas' Emerging Technology Fund.  The Emerging Tech Fund (ETF) was created out of the Texas state legislature in 2005 to invest in emerging technology start-up companies.   Since its inception over 132 companies have received investment dollars to continue applied research and the commercialization of a competitive product.  Vital Art & Science (VAS) was honored as the most recent company to join the Texas ETF family.   CEO for VAS, Mike Bartlett and represetnatives from UTSW and the Retina Foundation received a check for $250,000 in ETF investment.   The company joins 132 companies across Texas that have received Texas ETF investment.

Each year Tech Success creates a buzz around what technologies and applied research Texas is investing in.  Entrepreneurs, investors and researchers are the heart of entrepreneurship.  Visit the North Texas RCIC website for more information about Tech Success and the ETF client companies that make this region an exciting place for start-up companies.   www.ntxrcic.org
