Resonant Sensors Incorporated (RSI) is the innovator of a new optical sensor technology that can monitor biochemical reactions in real time, with outstanding accuracy and without the need for chemical tags.  This differentiating technology will provide new tools for the biosensor market that will dramatically reduce the cost and development time of pharmaceutical and medical products.

The heart of the sensor technology is the guided-mode resonance (GMR) effect that occurs in subwavelength waveguide gratings.  When these sensors are illuminated with a light source, a specific wavelength of light is reflected at a particular angle.  Interaction of a target analyte with a biochemical layer on the sensor surface yields measurable spectral or angular shifts that directly identify the binding event.  GMR technology enables rapid, high-precision analysis of biochemical reactions in real-time without the need for chemical tags.

VIDES™ Benchtop Sensor System

The RSI Vides™ Benchtop Sensor System is an optical technology for biological and molecular monitoring that does not require the use of chemical tags or post processing steps. The innovative Vides™ technology will enable pharmaceutical companies to discover new drugs at a faster rate.

VIDES™ Bioassay System Software

The VIDES™ software is the microplate reader control program, providing tools to collect and analyze data from protocols that the user sets up. The software is compatible with Windows XP and Vista.
